One year out

With one year to go until election day 2012 I wanted to capture some thoughts as I anticipate the year ahead.
I am grateful to be an American; excited for the opportunity to run; satisfied with my non party affiliation status; fearful of the missteps that might occur along the way; eager to meet, learn, and grow from Florida voters; and resolved for the win.
To get this campaign officially underway tomorrow I'll mail off the Federal Election Commission filing forms. Then spend the next two months getting the website front-end developed; the website back-end and constituent management software integrated; the campaign message honed; and the database populated. After the announcement: campaign, campaign, campaign.
Mistakes will be made, and lessons will be learned, but as long as we keep putting one foot in front of the other, we will make progress. Here is to the year ahead!
