When I registered to vote I was 18, excited to participate in the election process, and aligned with no party. Fifteen years later I'm still excited to participate in the election process and still aligned with no party.
It is not that I find parties inherently bad, but I do find them inherently after an interest in conflict with our national interests, so I avoid aligning myself with them. Fourteen years strong, with no end in sight: Proud No Party Affiliation.
Disclaimer My passion for reform does not aim to end political parties, it aims to remove the bias and disproportionate influence that parties allow; but make no mistake about it, if my reform ideas are enacted, party power will diminish.
